报告题目：Strain Gradient Finite Elements at Incompressible Limit

报告摘要: In this talk, we shall propose a family of mixed finite elements that are robust for the nearly incompressible strain gradient model. A discrete B-B inequality is proved for the mixed finite element approximation, which is uniform with respect to the microscopic parameter. Optimal rate of convergence is proved that is robust in the incompressible limit. Several boundary value problems for the strain gradient elastic model will be covered. Numerical results confirm the theoretical prediction. This is a joint work with Yulei Liao and Yun Xu.
报告人简介：明平兵是中国科学院数学与系统科学研究院研究员。2000年在中国科学院数学与系统科学研究院获得理学博士学位，留院工作至今，2008年提升为研究员，2014年获得国家杰出青年基金。2015年起担任科学与工程计算国家重点实验室副主任。 2019年入选第四批国家“万人计划”中青年科技创新领军人才计划。曾多次访问美国Princeton大学数学系, 德国Leipzig Max Planck数学研究所。明平兵从事计算数学及科学计算的研究，特别是固体多尺度建模、模拟及多尺度算法的研究，在JAMS, CPAM, ARMA, PRB, SINUM, Math. Compt. Numer. Math, MMS.等国际著名学术期刊上发表学术论文五十余篇。应邀在SCADE2009，The SIAM Mathematics Aspects of Materials Science 2016等会议上作大会报告。
